Settings saved in your browser

If you choose light or dark mode, SudburyEats saves that choice in your browser's local storage. Without a saved choice, it uses your device's colour preference. When the welcome food animation is shown, the site saves that fact so it does not replay on later visits.

The theme and animation settings stay in local storage without an expiry set by SudburyEats. Their values are not sent to SudburyEats in website requests. Clearing this site's browser data resets the theme and may allow the welcome animation to play again.

Your analytics choice is saved in local storage for 180 days. Clearing this site's browser data resets that choice. If browser storage is blocked, your choice lasts for the current page only.

Optional analytics cookies

Analytics is currently disabled while a dedicated SudburyEats property is being prepared. No analytics cookies or Google requests are used. If analytics is enabled later, an explicit choice will appear before collection begins.

Once configured, if you select Accept analytics, SudburyEats loads Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve the offer listings. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure these cookies to expire after 180 days without extending that period on each visit.

Analytics includes page visits, referring website origins, campaign labels, browser and device information, restaurant-link clicks, offer details opened, successful coupon and offer-link copies, and filter choices. When a search has no results, we send a broad search-length range and filter count, never the words you typed. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments; eligible campaign labels are handled separately. We do not send contact messages or email addresses to Analytics.

Google receives technical information such as your IP address when its analytics service is used. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's Privacy Policy for its processing practices.

No Google Analytics script or analytics request loads before you accept. Reject analytics keeps it off, and the site works either way. Use Cookie preferences here or in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting after accepting stops future collection, removes this site's analytics cookies and reloads the page. It does not delete data already collected by Google.

SudburyEats does not currently load advertising scripts or advertising cookies. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled. The site has no account sign-in, submission forms or payment collection. Fonts, images and the offer feed load from this site. If advertising is added, this page and the available choices will be updated first.

Website requests and external links

SudburyEats is prepared for hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Loading the site sends technical request information to Cloudflare, such as an IP address and browser information. Cloudflare processes those requests under its own policies.

Restaurant and ordering-platform links open external websites. Those sites handle their own data and orders under their own privacy practices.

Retention

The site does not collect form submissions or account records. SudburyEats has not set a separate retention period for provider-generated request logs.

Contact messages

If you email the public contact address, the message includes your email address and anything you choose to send. A public contact mailbox and its provider have not been configured yet. Once available, messages will be processed by that provider and your own email provider. They are used to handle and follow up on your question or correction.

A fixed deletion schedule for contact messages has not been specified. Do not send passwords, payment details or private account information. You can use the same address to ask about a message you sent.
